3 Things to Do with Kids in Bay of Plenty, New Zealand

Your kids have a different taste from yours especially when it comes to travel activities. You, as a parent, may find that bringing along your kids during a travel might be a hassle. Kids are crybabies and always throw a tantrum if they don’t like the way things are. Even so, kids are a part of the family and they should also experience some travel fun.

Though kids and adults seem to have different travel interests, the Bay of Plenty region in New Zealand can collide a kid and adult travel activity. You can reach the sandy coast of the Bay of Plenty with a kid friendly campervan. The Bay of Plenty offers a lot of fun activities in which both the kids and the parents would like. Travel the Bay of Plenty region with a campervan and make some memories with your kids doing these top three things.

Feed the ostriches

New Zealand is not only the home of several cows. They have ostriches, too, especially in the Tauranga area of the Bay of Plenty region. There is a place called the Tajo Ostrich Farm. It is a wonderful farm of ostriches.

If you think that feeding ostriches is a bore, you might actually change your mind. Kids love all kinds of animals. And yes, that includes ostriches. City kids and even adults rarely see ostriches except in zoos.  It is great to see those huge and tall birds running inside the farm, their eggs hatching, and of course, seeing them feed. The Tajo Ostrich Farm may also be to an adult’s liking because they have several ostrich products that you can buy as souvenirs.

Roll down the hills through zorbing

Zorbing might be a little scary, but it is fun. In the Rotorua part of the Bay of Plenty, you can do adventure activities with your kids like zorbing. Zorbing is an adventure sport wherein you’ll go inside a bouncy ball with harness, and then you’ll roll down the hill! Isn’t it thrilling and fun?

Kids don’t actually have that much sense of fear, instead, they actually love this kind of activity. And we hope you do, too. Roll down the hills with a zorb and have the most thrilling ride of your life.

The Bay of Plenty is a great spot for fishing. If you get hungry, you and your kids can go fishing at the sea. As we have mentioned earlier, kids love all kinds of animals. What’s more if they can even catch their own?

Fishing is not only an activity for parents and adults. It is also an activity for kids. If you plan to go fishing, don’t forget to put your fishing lines inside your campervan. Also, don’t forget to take along your kid’s fish buckets!

The Bay of Plenty region indeed offers a lot of adult and kid friendly activities. You can find out more travel activities to do with your kids if you continue to explore the region with your campervan. Nothing is more relaxing and fun to explore a particular place with a friendly campervan ride.
